On the morning of March 19, a delegation composed of 7 members, namely Saykham Phanthavong, Deputy Director-General of Vocational Education Department under Ministry of Education and Sports of Laos, and his wife, Saysamone Ngamsy, Director of Pakpasak Technical College, You Wei, Director of Laos-China International Education Center, Kamsong, Dean of School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, directors Yu Xiong and Li Menghan of Beijing Huatec Information Technology Co., Ltd, visited Fengxian Campus of SUCC. They were warmly received by SUCC President Ye Yinzhong and Vice President Guo Hongtao. Yu Limin, Director of Office of International Exchange, Wang He, Director of Department of Student Affairs, Wu Ying, Deputy Director of Office of Academic Affairs, Ji Yong, Dean of School of Artificial Intelligence Application, Song Changxin, professor of computer application technology, and relevant personnel of Office of International Exchange attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Guo Hongtao.

In his welcome speech, Ye Yinzhong introduced SUCC's practical experience and achievements in vocational education exchanges and cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative in recent years. In particular, he reviewed SUCC's cooperation with Pakpasak Technical College. He hoped that the two schools would work together to train young students from Laos to promote local economic and social development, and enhance the friendship between China and Laos. Saykham Panthavong highly affirmed the efforts and achievements of SUCC in promoting the "Chinese language + vocational skills" program in Laos. Saykham said that Laos has an increasing demand for high-quality technical and skilled personnel, adding that the information construction and professional co-construction in the field of artificial intelligence carried out by SUCC and Pakpasak Technical College is a model for deepening vocational education cooperation between the two countries, as well as a practical action to build a community with a shared future between China and Laos. Director Saysamon Ngamsi introduced the basic situation of Pakpasak Technical College and warmly invited teachers from SUCC to Laos for skills training and Chinese language teaching. Professor Song Changxin briefly introduced the training program for international students majoring in computer application technology to guests from Laos, and the two sides discussed the training of international students and follow-up cooperation plans.

After the meeting, Guo Hongtao, Yu Limin, Ji Yong, etc. walked the guests from Laos through SUCC's practical training room, nursing training base and artificial intelligence training room, and communicated cordially with the international students from Laos who arrived on the same day.

SUCC signed a cooperation agreement with Pakpasak Technical College in November 2021. The Jingshi School of SUCC established an overseas "Chinese Language + Vocational Skills" promotion base in Laos, marking the start of in-depth cooperation between the two universities. In 2023, the Vocational Education Development Institute, Ministry of Education and Sports of Laos awarded SUCC the title of "Excellent Construction Unit for the Development of Vocational Standards in Laos." This month, the first batch of 11 students from Pakpasak Technical College of Laos came to China to study computer application technology at the School of Artificial Intelligence Application.
