On the morning of November 27th, Patrick Lesser (General Manager of the Leipzig Training Center of the BAU, Saxony, Germany) and Julia Bauer (Project Manager of the Center) (formerly the BFW) visited the Fengxian Campus of SUCC, and discussed the progress of the current cooperation and the forms of subsequent cooperation with Guo Hongtao (Vice President of SUCC), heads of the School of Civil and Transportation Engineering, chiefs of relevant programs, and the director of the International Cooperation Division. They signed the agreement for the use of a Sino-German technical education online exchange learning platform.
SUCC has established cooperation with the BAU since 2017. The two sides have conducted in-depth exchanges and have cooperated in dual vocational education, new wastewater treatment technologies, pipeline inspections and repairs, and other fields. They have also carried out teacher training programs and joint international forums. In August this year, SUCC teachers and students went to Leipzig for a two-week technical training program with good results. The online learning platform aims to allow domestic teachers and students a chance to learn about architecture, the environment, and energy-saving technologies online and to obtain learning certificates issued by the German side after passing their online assessment.
The meeting also involved in-depth discussions on the development of learning platform curriculum modules and short-term training for teachers and students in Germany in 2020. Both parties were satisfied with the honestly and the practical cooperation that has been carried out in the past, and are confident in the subsequent cooperation and positive outcomes.
