Teachers and Students from Architecture and Environment Art School of SUCC Won Awards in the “Spanish Vibes in Shanghai” Photography and Sketching Activity

On February 19, the three-month “Spanish Vibes in Shanghai” photography and sketching activity held an award ceremony in Building 5 of The Inlet. Wang Jie, a teacher from the Architecture and Environmental Art School of SUCC, won the first prize in the “Spanish Vibes in Shanghai” painting competition, and three teachers including Zhou Peiyuan, Jiang Yin, and Yang Qing won the “Excellent Instructor Award”. Li Yirui and Shu Rui of 2021 batch, who majored in engineering technology of ancient buildings, selected in the Best Art Finalist Award, Su Chunyu, who majored in the restoration and protection of cultural relics of 2020 batch, won the Best Photography Finalist Award, and SUCC won the Excellent Organization Award. Juan Jose Sabaya, Commercial Counselor of the Spanish Consulate General in Shanghai, attended the award ceremony.

The competition was hosted by Noe China, co-hosted by Chongbang Group, The Inlet, HuellArt, Caelis Gallery, and had full support of Oriental Pearl Culture Development Co., Ltd., the Spanish Consulate General in Shanghai, the Economic and Commercial Office of the Spanish Consulate General in Shanghai and the Spanish Tourism Authority. As a competition part of the Spain to You II, through the “Spanish Vibes in Shanghai” competition, the public is invited to participate in the competition through photography and painting. From Duolun Road in Hongkou District to Hengshan Road - Fuxing Road Historic and Cultural Area in Xuhui District, following the Spanish-style historical buildings, look for the unique imprint of Shanghai’s century-old historical and cultural heritage.

After the ceremony, Wang Jie’s winning works will be auctioned for charity, and the awards will be given to public welfare foundation named Angel Baby Fund. Through artistic creation, they will support public welfare with actions and call on the public to pay attention to children’s accidental injuries. In this competition, teachers and students of SUCC demonstrated their professional standards with their works, and made contribution to the promotion of social visibility and international influence of SUCC.
