On the afternoon of September 11th, 2020 Teacher's Day celebration and commendation meeting was held in multifunctional hall of Fengxian Campus, to commend the advanced, encourage motivation, and gather the positive energy for the college development; to plan and arrange for the new semester, and promote the college's "double first-class" project. The college leadership, including Chu Min, party committee secretary, Ye Yinzhong, the principal, other leaders and award-winning teachers & staffs attended the meeting. The rest faculty viewed the meeting through Tencent Conference platform simultaneously. The meeting was chaired by He Guang, deputy secretary of the Party Committee.

At the meeting, SUCC awarded honorary trophies to the faculty and staff being engaged in education for 30 years or more; announced the newly promoted senior professional title appointment list; commended Teaching Achievement, Scientific Research, Comprehensive Management, Major Projects Construction and Honorary commendation awards; commended advanced models of "Ten Educators", as well as winning instructors and teams for participating in the World Skills Competition Shanghai Trial, National Vocational Skills Competition, Teaching Skills Competition, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.

At the meeting, principal Ye Yinzhong reviewed the school summer works from eight aspects: employment, enrollment, teaching reform, Yangtze River Delta integration service, school-enterprise cooperation development of industry-education integration, teacher training, international communication, scientific research & social services, as well as logistics and security work. For summer work, principal Ye expressed the gratitude to the cadres and employees for their hard work and dedication in respective positions. At the same time, he put forward to requirements for the new semester.

Chu Min, secretary of the Party Committee, pointed out in his speech that education is the major plan of the country and the Party, and teachers are the foundation and source of education. In past three years, SUCC has achieved remarkable results in talents integration and teaching staff construction. However, we still have gaps and shortcomings when comparing with other medium, high and special-ranked peer schools. He said, SUCC will always carry out the construction of teaching staff as the root of school development, striving to concentrate the energy and creativity of all teachers to delivering responsibility, contribution and teaching performance. Below measures will be taken to achieve this, such as promoting teacher ethics construction, strengthening talents introduction, implementing capacity improvement projects, creating a dual-teaching innovation team, promoting college and institute two-level talents construction, deepening the human resources policy reforms and so on. We hope all teachers can display their talents in appropriate positions. It is hereby expected that all faculty and staff can closely integrate the great anti-epidemic spirit with the university's moral building and education work. Under the premise of regular epidemic prevention and control, all teachers & staffs are expected to work with full energy and concerted efforts to ensure the successful completion of all targets and tasks of this year.

At the meeting, the student representatives recited the poem "When you stand in front of me" to send holiday wishes for all the teachers. The celebration meeting was closed in the exciting atmosphere with all the staff singing "Ode to the Motherland".
