On November 5, SUCC organized a Safety Education Program for Newly Enrolled International Students of the fall semester in 2025 at its Fengxian Campus. Officers from the Entry-Exit Administration Detachment of Fengxian Public Security Sub-bureau were invited to deliver safety briefings for international students. Jiang Yiqun, Secretary of the Party General Branch of the Department of General Studies, and Wang Aihua, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Division, attended the event. Besides, seventy-three newly enrolled international students under degree and language programs took part in the event along with counselors from the School of Business Administration and the Department of General Studies. The event was hosted by Wang Aihua.
During the briefing session, Officer Tu from the Entry-Exit Administration Detachment of Fengxian Public Security Sub-bureau delivered a lecture mainly on exit-entry laws and regulations, considering practical needs of newly enrolled international students. The lecture covered essential admission procedures, including temporary residence registration and residence permit applications, breaking down each process step by step with clear timelines, detailed document requirements, and standardized guidelines. It emphasized common pitfalls in document preparation and the consequences of delays, while strongly reminding international students to strictly observe China’s exit-entry regulations and to avoid illegal residence, illicit employment, or other unlawful activities.
This semester, SUCC has witnessed a significant increase in the enrollment of international students from various countries, which highlights the growing appeal of SUCC’s international education and also poses greater challenges for the management of international students. With a focus on the study of entry-exit regulations, this briefing session for international students aimed to foster a strong awareness of compliance with Chinese laws, enable students to quickly master the policies and regulations for lawful living and studying in China, and clarify the behavioral requirements for maintaining a safe campus environment. Beyond equipping international students with essential legal knowledge and safety skills, it also offered important guidance for SUCC’s ongoing management of international students.
