
On the morning of November 24, President Pairoj Duangnakhon and Vice-President Sahattaya Sittivised of Chiang Rai Rajabhat University visited the Fengxian campus of Shanghai Urban Construction Vocational College (SUCC). President Zhang Zhengrong and Vice-President Guo Hongtao attended the meeting. Relevant leaders and lecturers from the International Cooperation Division, the School of Application of Artificial Intelligence, and the School of Business Administration participated in the dialogue. Song Changxin, Deputy Dean of the School of Application of Artificial Intelligence, served as the host of the meeting.
Zhang Zhengrong warmly welcomed the delegation's visit. In his speech, he reviewed the in-depth cooperation between SUCC and Thailand in vocational education based on the Belt and Road Initiative. He said that SUCC's collaboration with the Thai vocational education sector is constantly expanding. The two sides have achieved fruitful results in various aspects, including the construction of overseas branches, the sharing of vocational education standards, joint training of young talent, and the integration of "Chinese + vocational skills." The visit of Chiang Rai Rajabhat University can be regarded as another focus of China-Thailand educational cooperation. The joint efforts of the two schools will promote the deepening and solidification of China-Thailand educational cooperation, and at the same time, inject more educational momentum into the friendly relationship of "China and Thailand as One Family."
Pairoj Duangnakhon expressed his gratitude to the Chinese side for their warm reception. He provided a detailed introduction to SUCC's profile, major program development, and talent training results. He proposed cooperation ideas for projects such as upgrading from junior college to undergraduate status, subject competitions, and long-term teacher exchanges. He also expected the two sides to engage in substantive cooperation in professional fields such as artificial intelligence, gradually expanding the breadth and depth of cooperation, and achieving mutual benefit and win-win results.
During the exchange session, the School of Application of Artificial Intelligence and the School of Business Administration introduced their respective basic profiles, program settings, student competition results, and international exchange status.
On the day of the visit, the Thai delegation also visited SUCC's Fengxian campus and highly praised the advanced training equipment and beautiful campus environment there.
The visit has enhanced mutual understanding between the two schools and laid a solid foundation for future in-depth cooperation in related fields such as artificial intelligence. Both sides expressed their commitment to maintaining close communication and jointly promoting multifaceted collaboration, such as teacher-student exchanges and curriculum co-construction, to support the high-quality development of vocational education in China and Thailand.
