From October 21 to 28, the 21st China Annual Conference for International Education & Expo 2020 sponsored by China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) was held in Beijing. This annual conference focused on the “Construction of Education Globalization and a Community with Shared Future for Mankind”. Elites in global circle of education and delegates of governments, enterprises and all walks of life had a “cloud” get-together to congregate their consensus on development, converge their joint force on development, and discuss the way of development. The annual conference consisted of a plenary session and 23 online parallel seminars.

On the 21st, Minister Chen Baosheng of China’s Ministry of Education attended the plenary session and made a speech in the opening ceremony. On the session he shared the Chinese government’s practice of giving priority to education and preventing and controlling the epidemic in the domain of education. He stated the consideration of opening education further to the outside world and proposed the prospect of exerting the role of education in quickening the construction of a community with shared future for mankind. He stressed that the Chinese government has always given priority to the development of education and always adhered to people centered development in education, and that education should play a greater role in the process of constructing a community with shared future for mankind.

On the 26th, SUCC president Ye Yinzhong was invited to attend the “Seminar on Chinese-Foreign Cooperation in Education for Internationalization and Mobility of Students” and delivered a keynote speech on the proposal “Opportunities for and Challenges to International Exchange of One Belt One Road Education under the Influence of the Epidemic”. This proposal was presided over by Chen Zhimin, President of the Council of One Belt One Road Education Chapter for International Exchange, China Education Association for International Exchange, and Vice-chancellor of Fudan University. Ye Yinzhong made a keynote speech themed by “Strengthen Confidence, Remodel Pattern, and Make another Achievement - International Cooperation and Exchange in Vocational Education under the Influence of the Epidemic: Challenges and Countermeasures”. He shared the background and groundwork of our school’s international exchange and cooperation, the practice and exploration of exploiting new realms during the epidemic, and the work layout and outlook of seeking new leap after the epidemic.

As learned, China Annual Conference for International Education & Expo is an annual gala between Chinese and foreign circles of education sponsored once per year by China Education Association for International Exchange since 2000 under the vigorous support of the Ministry of Education. It has now evolved as China’s grandest platform for international education exchange and annual gala between Chinese and foreign circles of education, acting as a pivotal window and bridge connecting Chinese education to world.

Next stage, SUCC will continue to actively fulfill the mission of the times to expand the opening-up of education. It will exploit its own advantages and join hands with Chinese and foreign partners to cope positively with the global epidemic. This will demonstrate SUCC’s responsibility and readiness to undertake in the domain of international vocational education and make positive contributions to boosting the construction of a community with shared future for mankind.
