Ye Yinzhong Attended the 5th International Forum on the Belt and Road & Global Governance

December 3rd to 4th, the 5th International Forum on the Belt and Road & Global Governance was held in Fudan University. Ye Yinzhong, president of SUCC, was invited to attend the forum and unveiled the new book Excellent Cases Selections of The Belt and Road Education International Exchange and delivered a keynote speech. An Yan, deputy secretary general of China Education Association for International Exchange, delivered a speech online. Chen Zhimin, president of council of the Belt and Road Education International Exchange Branch in China Education Association for International Exchange, vice chairman of the Belt and Road Education Promotion Committee in China Education Association for International Exchange, vice principal of Fudan University attend the meeting and deliver a speech. Chen Yugang, secretary general of the Belt and Road Education International Exchange Branch of the China Education Association of International Exchange and Minister of the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of Fudan University, chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, Ye Yinzhong gave a speech titled Developing "Chinese + Vocational Skills" International Cooperation, Promoting Chinese and Foreign Cultural Harmony and Friendly Exchange between the People, which focuses on the international five specific tasks including the establishment of the overseas “Luban School” and building a “Chinese + vocational skills” promotion base in Laos, sharing the “China’s experience” in epidemic prevention and control to Cambodia, and building an international “double-professionally-titled teachers” team in which the teachers in this team understand both professional and teaching Chinese as a foreign language. He said that SUCC strives to overcome the adverse effects of the epidemic, based on the original work pattern, concentrate efforts to promote the integration of Chinese and foreign cultures and people-to-people bonds, and make every effort to develop “Chinese + vocational skills” international cooperation. He emphasized that it is necessary to continuously strengthen the construction of professional internationalization which makes vocational education “going global” more confident and sustainable; it is necessary to meet the technical skills requirement of countries along the Belt and Road which makes vocational education "going global" more common and welcome.

The Excellent Cases Selections of the Belt and Road Education International Exchange was released at the meeting. This book is the first international exchange case book focusing on the education in the Belt and Road field. The book includes the article Developing Vocational Education Cooperation and Composing the Chapter of the China-Thai Friendship written by SUCC. Chen Zhimin, vice principal of Fudan University, introduced the new book, and jointly unveiled the new book with Ye Yinzhong, principal of SUCC, and Liu Zhenpeng, vice president of council of the branch and president of Chang Le No.2 Middle School.

With the theme of “Overcoming the Challenges of the Epidemic and Promoting the Inclusive Development of ‘the Belt and Road”, this forum was co-hosted by Fudan University and “the Belt and Road” Think Tank Cooperation Alliance initiated by the International Department of the Central Committee of CPC, and  jointly organized by “the Belt and Road” and Global Governance Institute of Fudan University and the Contemporary World Research Center of the International Department of the Central Committee of CPC. SUCC became the first batch of council members of the “the Belt and Road” Education International Exchange Branch of the China Education Association for International Exchange in 2019, and Ye Yinzhong was elected as the first vice president of council. In the past three years, SUCC has actively explored, practiced and faced the new opportunities and challenges of the “the Belt and Road”, set an example for the international exchanges and cooperation of domestic higher vocational colleges, and made contribution for construction and high-quality development of “the Belt and Road”.
