President Ye Yinzhong Attends the 3rd China-UK Vocational Education International Exchange and Cooperation Forum and the China-UK Vocational Education Cooperation and Development Committee Annual Meeting

From November 9th to 10th, President Ye Yinzhong was invited to participate in the “3rd China-UK Vocational Education International Exchange and Cooperation Forum and the China-UK Vocational Education Cooperation and Development Committee Annual Meeting” held in Beijing. The meeting was attended by British representatives from the UK Department of International Trade, the British Education Association, the British Embassy, the NPTC, and other representatives of the domestic education administration and educational institutions, as well as over 30 vocational colleges.

The 3rd China-UK Vocational Education International Exchange and Cooperation Forum aims to implement the deep cooperation consensus between China and the UK, promote cooperation and exchanges between both sides, and form resource sharing and mutual benefit in vocational education.


As the co-chairman of the China-UK Vocational Education Cooperation and Development Committee, Ye said: “we are encouraged by the better prospects of vocational education and that we are facing up with many new problems and challenges. I hope that with this forum, China-UK vocational education can carry out more exchanges in professional construction, teacher development and personnel training, and inject new vitality into the development of vocational education.”

Tang Min, Distinguished Consultant of the State Council and Vocational Education Specialist, Mark Dacey, Head of the NPTC, Li Xingzhi, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department of the Beijing Information Technology College, Chu Zhaohui, Research Fellow of the National Institute of Education Sciences and Deputy Secretary General of Chinese Society for Taoxingzhi Studies, Steve Rhodes, Vice President of the NPTC, UK, and Li Huajie, China’s chief representative of the National Academic Degree Assessment and Certification Center, delivered speeches respectively. At the conference, Zhang Jinyu, the School of Construction Economics & Management of SUCC, as a representative of the teachers of China-UK cooperation, gave a report entitled the Comparison of Teaching Philosophy and Methods Between China-UK Vocational Education Teachers.

After the forum, the annual meeting of the China-UK Vocational Education Cooperation and Development Committee was held. As a vice chairman unit, SUCC witnessed the Harbin Vocational & Technical College, Guangdong Polytechnic of Industry and Commerce and Jiangsu Maritime Institute, all become the governing unit.
