On April 28 afternoon, we successfully hosted the China-Thailand higher vocational education talent training program seminar in SUCC. And Institute of Vocational Education, Bangkok, Showapa Vocational College, Tang international Education Group attended the meeting and had a discussion about the design and implementation of the talent training program for Thai students majoring in food quality and safety. They also exchanged such views on the recruitment and training of new international students and the deepened development of vocational education cooperation between China and Thailand. SUCC’s principal Ye Yinzhong, vice principal Guo Hongtao, Chong Punu, the director of Institute of Vocational Education, Bangkok, Chompunuch, the vice principal of Showapa Vocational College attended and delivered speeches. Relevant administrative departments of two schools, principals of secondary colleges and teachers' representatives also joined the meeting, which was presided by Yu Limin, the director of International Exchange Department. 

Ye Yinzhong reviewed our overseas cooperation between the SUCC, Institute of Vocational Education, Bangkok and Showapa Vocational College, fully affirmed the joint training as the basic starting point. He said we focused on teachers exchange mutually between schools, advanced the professional standards, and took solid steps to intensify fruitful results based on the education exchanges and cooperation. In particular, 2020, due to the impact of the global COVID-19 pandemic, saw such difficulties to perform offline teaching, so SUCC has made every effort to create "online classroom" and speed up the construction of online courses to ensure that international students can successfully complete their studies, noting that the first batch of Thai students will graduate from SUCC in June this year. Ye believes that the talent training program was a normative document for carrying out teaching activities and tasks, as well as serves as a basis for professional talent training and quality evaluation. It was of great significance for the two schools to hold the talent training program seminar, which made the educational cooperation reach a new height. 

Guo Hongtao introduced the development of SUCC and international exchanges in recent years. He said that SUCC has been ranked top in the classification and evaluation of universities in Shanghai (applied skills) for two consecutive years, and now we are striving to seize the chance to apply for undergraduate vocational university. Since the COVID-19, SUCC has developed new ways of international exchange and cooperation, and started "International Online Class", "Luban School" and other forms to promote exchanges and cooperation with countries along the Belt and Road Initiative, especially the "Chinese + Vocational Skills", thus receiving positive responses from young people and vocational college students from Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos and other countries. He hoped that Chinese and Thai teachers could learn from each other and have full exchanges so as to record steady growth of vocational education between the two countries. 

In his speech, Chong Punu introduced "Thailand 4.0" plan and "Eastern Economic Corridor Plan" in recent years. Such sectors as mining, light industry, manufacturing, service industry and public utilities were encouraged to invest by Thailand Investment Promotion Committee. In the future, there was a great demand for industrial workers, especially technicians and technicians. Thailand's national development plan had high requirements for vocational education. And vocational education and in two countries were highly complementary. The 13 vocational colleges under the Vocational Education, Bangkok, had carried out educational cooperation with China's vocational colleges. The cooperation between SUCC and Showapa Vocational College had become a highlight of China-Thai vocational education cooperation.
