
On March 20, a ceremony was held for the renewal of the Sino-Thai Vocational Education Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement at Fengxian Campus of SUCC. A delegation led by Rangsan Bangraknoi, Director of the Saowabha Vocational College, Thailand, attended the ceremony together with representatives from the Institute of Vocational Education, Bangkok (IVEB) and the Minburi Technical College, Thailand. Zhang Zhengrong, President of SUCC, also attended the ceremony. Zhang Yunbin, Dean of the School of Food & Tourism, Ji Yong, Dean of the School of Application of Artificial Intelligence, and Yu Limin, Director of the International Cooperation Division, along with relevant staff from the International Cooperation Division, were present at the meeting.
At the meeting, Zhang Zhengrong extended a warm welcome to the guests from Thailand. In his speech, he briefly reviewed the cooperation history between the two colleges since 2019. He stated that over the past eight years, the two colleges had overcome geographical boundaries and engaged in comprehensive, multi-level cooperation in areas such as joint talent cultivation, vocational teacher training, collaborative development of competitive disciplines, and curriculum standard certification. This helped establish a stable and efficient collaborative mechanism, forge an unbreakable inter-university friendship, and set up a vivid model of vocational education exchange and cooperation between China and Thailand. He hoped that through the renewal of this agreement, the cooperation between the two colleges would deepen, solidify, and endure, where they can jointly cultivate more outstanding talents with both professional expertise and an international perspective.

Rangsan Bangraknoi expressed his gratitude for the warm reception by SUCC. Saowabha Vocational College deeply cherishes the eight-year profound cooperation and friendship with SUCC, he added. Food industry is a significant national soft power of Thailand, while China leads in food quality safety management and food testing technology. He expressed his desire to learn from China's advanced experience, create more platforms for learning and exchange for Thai students, and further promote educational and cultural exchanges between the two countries.
At the ceremony, Zhang Zhengrong, Rangsan Bangraknoi, and the representative(s) from IVEB renewed the cooperation agreement and exchanged gifts. During the exchange, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on talent cultivation for international students in the fields of food quality & safety and computer application technology, and reached preliminary consensus on future collaborations in disciplines such as architecture and arts.
At the meeting, a video was played, showcasing the achievements of the eight-year collaboration between the two colleges. The video gave display on a review of the development of the Bangkok branch campus from its inception to excellence, which gradually turned into a brand of vocational education cooperation between China and Thailand. It reflected the joint efforts and contributions of leaders from both colleges, international exchange administrators, and teachers. In the future, the two colleges will continuously leverage the important platform of the Bangkok Campus to deepen practical cooperation in areas such as joint training of international students, collaborative program development, mutual recognition of courses, and faculty exchanges. They will keep enhancing the level of international education and the quality of talent cultivation and nurturing more high-quality technical and skilled professionals with global perspectives for both China and Thailand. This effort will turn a new leaf to further advance and solidify vocational education exchanges and cooperation between the two countries with greater contributions.
