Recently, the Shanghai Education Commission and the Shanghai Education Development Foundation announced the approval of the 2021 Shanghai “Chenguang Plan” natural science project. The project “Research on Heat Transfer Characteristics of Closed Pulsating Heat Pipe for Stirling Cryogenic Refrigerator” declared by Huang Jingjing, a faculty member of the School of Urban Operations and Management of SUCC, and the project “Research on the Abatement Mechanism of Chlorogenic Acid on Multi-drug Resistant Salmonella in Chicken” declared by Zhang Fen, a faculty member of the School of Health and Social Care of SUCC, both of which were selected and will receive RMB 60,000 in project funding.
The project “Research on Heat Transfer Characteristics of Closed Pulsating Heat Pipe for Stirling Cryogenic Refrigerator” is aimed at Stirling cryogenic refrigerator without phase change and green and environmentally friendly refrigeration process. In order to improve the efficiency of cold transfer, the pulsating heat pipe is combined with Stirling. The research focuses on the heat transfer characteristics of pulsating heat pipe, builds a three-dimensional model to build an experimental bench, and conducts heat transfer performance research on various factors such as heating power, evaporation-condensation length ratio and filling rate. “Research on the Abatement Mechanism of Chlorogenic Acid on Multi-drug Resistant Salmonella in Chicken” is aimed at the bacterial drug resistance problem with global concern, taking Salmonella, a typical pathogenic bacterium, as the research object to explore the abatement effect of chlorogenic acid on multidrug-resistant Salmonella in chicken and analyzes the abatement mechanism through transcriptome sequencing and physiological characterization to lay a solid foundation for solving the increasingly serious drug resistance problem.
In recent years, SUCC attaches great importance to the cultivation and improvement of teaching and research ability of young teachers, and has implemented the mentorship training program for young teachers since 2018, and actively organized young teachers to declare the “Shanghai University Young Teacher Training Grant Plan” and “Shanghai Chenguang Plan”. "In addition, the university holds an annual mentoring program for young teachers. In addition, SUCC holds a teaching competition for young teachers every year, and the young teachers selected by the university have participated in the Shanghai University Young Teachers’ Teaching Ability Competition, and many of them have won awards. Through the joint efforts of SUCC and the second-level colleges, many young teachers of SUCC have emerged in their teaching and research abilities.
