On November 27, Yu Limin (the Director of the International Cooperation Division of SUCC) and Xu Jin (the Associate Dean of the School of Civil and Transportation Engineering) met with Patrick Lesser (the General Manager of the International Project Development Department of the BFW) to discuss the cooperation in deepening the development and exchange of talents in the construction field.
Since SUCC and the BFW acted as the core members and formed the Sino-German GIZ alliance (a strategic alliance for the development of new technology professionals in the construction industry) last year, the two sides have carried out in-depth exchanges and cooperation in the fields of dual vocational education, new sewage treatment technology, and pipeline inspection and repair (including joint teacher training and co-hosting of international forums), and have achieved certain results. At present, SUCC is accelerating the promotion of high-quality development and actively advancing internationalization. It is hoped that the two sides will further close ties, deepen the pragmatic cooperation in the field of personnel training in the construction industry, and advance the exchanges and cooperation between the two to a new level.
According to Patrick Lesser, SUCC and the BFW are the core members of the Sino-German GIZ alliance, and have achieved important cooperation results in multiple aspects. Besides, he hopes to further advance the pragmatic cooperation with SUCC in talent cultivation in the construction industry.
Through the meeting, the two sides discussed the deep cooperation mode for the training of new technical talents in the Sino-German construction industry, and reached a preliminary consensus.
Yang Ruihua (the Associate Dean of the School of Civil and Transportation Engineering) and professional directors and relevant teachers of the water supply and drainage engineering program and the construction engineering program attended the meeting.
