On the afternoon of October 23, Mr. Yugalingam Naidoo, the principal of Clairwood Technical High School (South Africa), visited the Fengxian campus of SUCC. Guo Hongtao (a vice president of SUCC), Lin Chunfang (the director of the Academic Affairs Office ), Yu Limin (the director of the International Cooperation Division) and Wang Aihua (the deputy director of the International Cooperation Division) jointly received Mr. Naidoo.
Mrs. Guo Hongtao expressed welcome to Mr. Naidoo’s visit, and introduced the overall situation of SUCC. Lin Chunfang demonstrated SUCC’s strength and quality of teaching from three aspects--school orientation, the layout of programs and talent training. Mr. Naidoo praised SUCC’s teaching environment, hardware facilities, faculty strength, campus culture and quality of personnel training. He said, through the visit to Shanghai, he experienced the speed of the high-speed rail, the majesty of the Great Wall in Beijing, and the magnificent night scene beauty of the Shanghai Bund, which were completely different from what he previously read through western media. The African delegation of principals (incl. Mr. Naidoo) visited and investigated more than ten schools in China, saw the advanced educational concepts and management systems in China, and felt the diligence and endeavors of Chinese teachers and students. Later, he further introduced the current situation in South Africa and the operation of his High School.
After the meeting, Mr. Naidoo visited the campus accompanied by Guo Hongtao. He frequently held up his mobile phone and clicked to capture the campus scenes. When they separated, SUCC people sincerely welcomed Mr. Naidoo to revisit China and SUCC, and look forward to further exchanges in technical talents training.
Clairwood Technical High School is a public school with a long history. At present, there are about 1,000 students. In addition to the general courses in middle schools, it also provides some vocational and technical training.
