On the afternoon of October 26, International Exchange Department of our university organized to take part in the "Online Academic Exchange Seminar between Chinese and German Universities". The relevant leaders and more than 20 teachers from Digital Construction College, Municipal and Ecological Engineering College, College of Artificial Intelligence Applications, and Office of International Exchange, participated in this activity.
Professor Reinhard Hopf, founding president of The Hochschule Degendorf University of Applied Science in Germany, and Mike Hurst, director of Planning Division in German National Institute of Vocational Education, professor of economics in the Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, were invited to make speeches about two subjects of “The Past, Present and Future of the German University of Applied Technology (Applied Higher Education)” and “Impetus and Reform of Vocational Education at Undergraduate Level”.
During the interactive exchange, two German professors gave wonderful answers for the questions raised by the participating colleges. Wang Aihua, deputy Director of International Exchange Department of our university, exchanged with Professor Reinhard Hopf about the specific implementation method of German credit system to make participants further understand the German credit system.
Through this academic exchange activity, participating teachers have expanded international horizon and fully understood the school-enterprise cooperation mode of the applied technology university in Germany, dual-system vocational education, and vocational education at the undergraduate level. This seminar has important meaning for our school to learn from the university-enterprise cooperation of German dual-system university, deepening reform of education and teaching, etc.
