On November 24th, the reception ceremony for the gold award winners of the 6th China International "Internet +" College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held in Fengxian Campus. The Party Secretary Chu Min and the President Ye Yinzhong of our college gave cordial greetings to the gold-award-winning project team of the competition and held an informal discussion with them. The meeting was presided over by the Vice President Gan Aipin.

At the meeting, college leaders talked with project team members and instructors from the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the School of Architecture and Environment, the School of Public Administration and the School of International Exchange one by one, learned about the team’s give and take during the preparation of the competition, and highly affirmed the excellent performance of the students and instructors of the project team in this competition.

During the discussion, Ye Yinzhong extended his congratulations to the project team for their outstanding results in the competition, and pointed out the five key points for the college’s success in continuing a championship in the competition. Specifically, firstly, it is the result of the college’s adherence to connotation development and improvement in effectiveness of talent training; secondly, it is the result of the efforts of the project team students, and a vivid interpretation of the competition theme - "venture and innovation spirit”; thirdly, it is the result of the hard work of the instructors, which demonstrates the responsibility and charm of imparting knowledge and educating students; fourthly, it is the result of the full cooperation at the college level, that achieves the resource integration and unity and cooperation among schools and disciplines; fifthly, it is the embodiment of the college's professional characteristics, which promotes the integration of professional education and innovation and entrepreneurship education. He expressed the hope that the project team and related schools could make a timely review and summary while getting immersed in joy so as to lay a foundation for the college to prepare for next year's "Internet +" competition.

Chu Min made a concluding speech. He first expressed his congratulations and gratitude to the winning team and relevant teachers, and affirmed the team's spirit of striving for the first place in the competition. He said that the college’s success in getting another championship on the basis of achieving a breakthrough and winning the first gold award on behalf of Shanghai higher vocational colleges last year, was a sufficient demonstration of the "hard power" of the college's professional connotation construction and development, the "soft power" of the college's years of comprehensive quality talent training, and the "smart power" of the college's education and practice of innovation and entrepreneurship. He pointed out that, in the next step, the college should further explore how to integrate ideological and political education and innovation and entrepreneurship education into the whole process of talent training, and put the cultivation of innovation and entrepreneurship spirit into practice in teaching reform and curriculum reform. In addition, he encouraged and supported the project team to put forth effort for the connotation development of commercialization and industrialization, well promote the transformation of technological achievements, stimulate the vitality of the project itself, and realize the sustainable and development of innovation and entrepreneurship projects during the incubation period.

As an important event to implement the national strategy of "mass entrepreneurship and innovation", China International "Internet +" College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition has cultivated a powerful force of new talents in mass entrepreneurship and innovation, and also developed a warmest national ideological and political lesson and a most distinctive innovation lesson. Our college attaches sufficient importance to the event guidance, gives full play to its professional advantages to cultivate specialized and innovative integrated projects, enhances the core competitiveness of the project, promotes learning and teaching through the competitions, and breaks through the competition organization and preparation, project cultivation optimization, talent training and management and other links. Though the reform and innovation of “education concepts, quality standards and quality culture”, our college manages to make "venture and innovation spirit” a new quality education in vocational education in the new era, and improve the quality and effectiveness of personnel training in colleges.
