On the evening of March 7, the first class meeting took place simultaneously on all three campuses through online and offline methods. In addition to freshmen and sophomores from Fengxian and Yangpu campuses, students from Baoshan campus who did not have internship assignments in their junior year all attended the event.

Mr. CHU Min, Secretary of CPC Committee of the school, greeted the faculty and students for the new semester and welcomed everyone back to school to start a new journey in the 14th Five-Year Plan period!  

The year 2021 marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the start of the 14th Five-Year Plan period, with many important and joyous events. Our country has entered a new stage of “high quality, digital, dual-circulation” development as we pursue the Great Renaissance of the Chinese Nation when the world today is marked by changes unseen in a century. All of us should study and train hard, innovate bravely, and carry on the spirit of craftsmanship, so as to become the pillars of national development and contribute to the further upgrade of our school.

Facing the new journey, new goals and new tasks, YE Yinzhong, President of Shanghai Urban Construction Vocational College (SUCC) sends a message to all students: Focus on both virtue and skill cultivation, combine knowledge with action, and strive for all-round development. Make good use of all the opportunities to focus on your studies, train hard, enhance skills and improve competence. Put knowledge to practice, focus on virtue and skill cultivation, and aspire to become high-quality skilled talent for national development. Always remain prudent and stay alert for epidemic prevention and control. Take good care of yourselves and strictly follow personal protective measures. Abide by the school arrangements and take the initiative to support the work. Development and progress should be built on the basis of health and safety.

President Ye also told the final year students to make good use of their time to complete internships, improve outcomes, make the transition from "campus student" to "workplace employee" and secure employment as soon as possible. They should work together with the school and teachers to ensure employment.

2021 marks the 65th anniversary of the founding of the school and the 5th anniversary of SUCC establishment. Students should carry forward the spirit of learning, pioneering and perseverance, and enter the new era on a new journey with full energy.
