SUCC Signs Cooperation Agreements with Four Schools in Chiang Rai, Thailand

    On April 1, a seminar and exchange event between our school and an education delegation from Chiang Rai, Thailand was held at the Fengxian Campus of our school. A delegation consisting of Mr. Han Zhipei, Director of the International Department of the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC) of the Thai Ministry of Education, as well as principals and teachers from 9 basic education schools in Chiang Rai, visited our school and attended the signing ceremony. Mr. Zhang Zhengrong, President of our school, warmly received the delegation.


    At the meeting, President Zhang Zhengrong pointed out that our school focuses on urban construction, urban renewal, refined urban governance and high-quality urban life, and is committed to cultivating high-quality technical and skilled talents with an international vision and craftsmanship spirit. Over the years, the school's educational strength and talent training quality have been widely recognized. He stated that our school has achieved fruitful results in vocational education cooperation between China and Thailand, accumulated mature experience in international student training, and cultivated a large number of outstanding talents for Thailand. He expressed the hope that through this signing, the four middle schools in Chiang Rai will actively send outstanding senior high school students to study in China and our school. Our school will also fully provide international students with high-quality educational resources, a complete training system and a broad development platform, helping students grow into goodwill envoys for cultural exchanges between China and Thailand.


    Mr. Chen Zhide, Principal of Ban Seaw Wittayakhom School, thanked our school for the warm reception and briefly introduced the current situation of basic education development in Thailand. He noted that in recent years, Thailand has attached great importance to Chinese language education and has offered Chinese language courses at the basic education stage. Currently, Thai institutions are focusing on the in-depth integration of digital technology and Chinese language teaching, and striving to improve teachers' artificial intelligence application capabilities. He hoped that through this exchange, Thai schools could cooperate with our school in the field of artificial intelligence to enhance the quality and level of Chinese language teaching.


    At the signing ceremony, on behalf of our school, President Zhang Zhengrong signed cooperation agreements and exchanged gifts with the principals of Ban SeawWittayakhom School, Nakorn Wittayakhom School, Duiluang Ratchamunklapisek  School, and Rajaprajaungroh 62 Chinag Rai School respectively. In the future, China and Thailand will carry out international exchanges and cooperation in teacher training, teacher-student exchanges, student training and other fields.


    During the discussion session, Zhang Yunbin, Dean of the School of Food and Tourism, Huang Yuanyuan, Director of Department of General Studies, Sun Yaolong, Vice Dean of the School of Architecture and Environmental Art, Song Changxin, Vice Dean of the School of Artificial Intelligence Applications, Zuo Di, Program Leader of Health Management (Aesthetic Medicine) of the School of Health and Social Care, Long Guoqi, Program Leader of International Business of the School of Business Administration, Yan Xiaohui, Program Leader of Roads and Bridges Engineering Technology of the School of Municipal and Ecological Engineering, and Wu Lingqian, Program Leader of Modern Estate Management of the School of City Operation and Management, briefly introduced the professional construction overview and talent training models of their respective colleges. The two sides had in-depth discussions on such topics as admission requirements for international students of our school, scholarship policies, short- and long-term Chinese language programs, teacher capacity training, and artificial intelligence application training, and fully exchanged views on the future cooperation directions and specific measures.

     During the campus tour, the delegation visited the professional training rooms of the School of Food and Tourism and the School of Health and Social Care, learned about the allocation of training facilities, the implementation of practical teaching and the achievements of professional construction on the spot, and interacted with Thai international students studying on campus. They spoke highly of our school's excellent training conditions and education model.


    This exchange and signing have laid a solid foundation for our school to deepen cooperation with the basic education sector in Chiang Rai, Thailand. In the future, both sides will continue to expand areas of cooperation and jointly promote the in-depth development of vocational education and cultural exchanges between China and Thailand.


    The heads and relevant teachers of the International Cooperation Division, School of Food and Tourism, School of Health and Social Care, School of Architecture and Environmental Art, School of Business Administration, School of Municipal and Ecological Engineering, School of City Operation and Management, School of Artificial Intelligence Applications, School of Digital Construction, and Department of General Studies attended the meeting.
