Reported by Lou Xinxin, Correspondent at Eastday.com, March 23—The 2025 Innovation and Entrepreneurship Themed Series "Dare to Explore, Excel in Innovation" was officially launched at the Yangpu Campus of Shanghai Urban Construction Vocational College recently.
The "Youth Red Dream-Building Journey" flag presentation ceremony was held on-site. Zhang Yun, Honorary President of the Shanghai Society of the History of the Communist Party of China, presented the flag to the university’s Red Dream-Building Squad. He encouraged young students to gain a deep understanding of China’s national conditions and people’s livelihoods by immersing themselves in local communities, carry forward the revolutionary spirit, set ambitious goals through innovation and entrepreneurship, and promote the deep integration of ideological and political education with entrepreneurship courses.
On-site, Yuan Yue, Chairman of Dataway, Co-founder of Feimalv, and President of the Black Apple Youth Public Welfare Organization, delivered a keynote speech titled “The Role of Passion in Innovation and Entrepreneurship”, urging young students to boldly pursue their dreams, align their entrepreneurial enthusiasm with societal needs, and create greater value for society. Wang Zhen, former Vice President of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences and Executive Vice Chairman of the Yangtze River Delta Zero-Carbon Smart Rural Alliance, delivered another keynote speech on “Building a High-level Talent Hub”, delving into Shanghai’s talent development strategies and innovative practices under the framework of the Yangtze River Delta integration initiative.
According to President Zhang Zhengrong of Shanghai Urban Construction Vocational College, the school will leverage this series of innovation and entrepreneurship-themed activities to strengthen interdepartmental collaboration, systematically integrating innovation and entrepreneurship education into every phase of well-rounded education and the entire talent development process. Through these efforts, the institution aims to cultivate students' invaluable qualities of "Daring to Explore, Excelling in Innovation ", stimulate their dynamic creativity, and guide young learners to uphold the spirit of science while actively engaging in technological innovation. These initiatives are designed to better nurture and advance new qualitative productive forces, further foster a campus environment conducive to innovation and entrepreneurship, shape an ecosystem for dual-innovation competitions, and ultimately cultivate a new generation of highly-skilled technical talents, master craftsmen, and ingenious artisans who demonstrate the courage to innovate, proficiency in creating, and capacity for groundbreaking achievements.
