On June 9, the final of campus qualification of the 8^th China’s International “Internet+” College Students’ Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition (Shanghai Branch) was held by Tencent Meeting on-line successfully. Guohongtao, a member of the CPC committee and vice president of the college, attended the final review meeting, and the principals of Academic Affairs Office, Science and Technology office, Academic Work Department, Youth League Committee, Innovation and Entrepreneurship College and other departments watched the competition online. The meeting was presided over by Song Baihong, the dean of Innovation and Entrepreneurship College.

Guo Hongtao fully affirmed the mobilization and organization of the campus competition. She said that the “Internet+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition is an important aid for the college's innovation and entrepreneurship talents’ training. With current epidemic prevention and control situations in Shanghai, the teachers and students in all functional departments and secondary institutes worked and cooperated together. In organizing, a number of high-quality and high-level innovative and entrepreneurial projects were chosen for improvement, which cover many fields such as AI, urban construction, science & technology innovation, culture innovation, healthy elderly-care, rural revitalization, to demonstrate the college's successes in educational innovation and development, the professional training in a same pace with social and economic development to realize digital transformation and upgrading. She hoped and congratulated in advance that all participants and teams would achieve great successes in the competition with pioneering spirit.

Since the 8^th China’s International “Internet+” College Students’ Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition (Shanghai Branch) launched in April this year, over 3000 projects have been applied, which is a new record. Senior professors, leaders of well-known venture capital institutions were invited, the mentors of “Forbes China under 30 Elite Young Entrepreneurship” and local community and other experts in various fields held over 20 special lectures for all teachers and students, with one-on-one guidance, focusing on students' thinking development and skill improvement in innovation & entrepreneurship, and empowering all projects in various dimensions. Recommended by secondary institutes, after preliminary online evaluation, secondary competition and the pre-competition training and so on, in total 42 projects were chosen for the final, with the quota from municipal organizing committee. Then, the college will continue to polish the projects by campus qualification by intensive training camps and actively prepare for the municipal-level competition.

The 8^th China’s International “Internet+” College Students’ Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition was organized by Innovation & Entrepreneurship Institute, Academic Affairs Office, Science & Technology Office, Academic Work Department and Youth League Committee, as an important platform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, a bridge and a link between education and industries. The competition set up a platform for innovation and entrepreneurship to further integrate competition achievements with industries, closely linked education and training with economic and social development, to speed up the construction of undergraduate vocational universities and support highly efficient regional economy growth and upgrading.
