On June 13, Khunying Sumonta Promboon, President of Chitralada Technology Institute and Nualanong Thumjaroen, Director of Chitralada Vocational School, visited SUCC Fengxian Campus. President Zhang Zhengrong and Vice President Guo Hongtao of SUCC warmly received them. Zhang Yunbin, Dean of School of Food & Tourism, Wang Aihua, Deputy Director of International Cooperation Division, Sun Min, Program Chief of Food Quality and Safety, professional teacher Liu Qian, SUCC and relevant staff of the International Cooperation Division attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Zhang Zhengrong warmly welcomed the arrival of Thai guests. In his speech, he highlighted the achievements made by SUCC in China-Thailand vocational education cooperation and exchanges in recent years, especially the joint training of international students from Thailand. He said that further deepening cooperation between the two sides will not only build a new learning and exchange platform for teachers and students, but also play a positive role in strengthening exchanges and cooperation in the field of education between China and Thailand and promoting common development. He hopes to carry out in-depth cooperation with Chitralada Technology Institute and Chitralada Vocational School in the future in many aspects such as jointly building a cooperation and exchange platform, jointly carrying out high-quality professional talent training, collaboratively developing high-quality teaching resources, and jointly serving corporate human resources development and scientific and technological progress, so as to jointly write a new chapter in China-Thailand vocational education cooperation.

In his speech, Khunying Sumonta Promboon said that through the pre-conference campus training room visit and meeting with Thai students, he had felt the school's open and inclusive vitality. Chitralada Technology Institute has a long history of running schools. Under the care of Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand, it has established cooperation with many Chinese universities. Since 2019, its subsidiary Chitralada Vocational School has focused on the training of professional talents in food quality and safety and has conducted in-depth exchanges with our school. She said that the international students of Chitralada Vocational School have achieved academic success in their studies in Shanghai and have received careful training and care from teachers. She hopes to expand cooperation majors with our school and send more outstanding Thai students to Shanghai for exchange and study.

At the signing ceremony, Zhang Zhengrong and Khunying Sumonta Promboon, President of Chitralada Technology Institute, signed a cooperation agreement and exchanged gifts. During the meeting exchange session, Sun Min focused on the talent training program for international students majoring in food quality and safety, and gave a detailed introduction to the teaching major settings, training objectives and specifications, talent training models, curriculum setting systems, teaching team building, professional teaching reforms, student training, and professional and teaching construction results of international students in China. During the interactive session, China and Thailand exchanged views on the teaching arrangements, classroom performance, teaching results of international students, as well as subsequent enrollment and internships for international students. Guo Hongtao said that through this meeting, the cooperation between the two sides has taken another solid step forward.
