The "ITEA Student Online Exchange—Cultivation of International Vision" program, sponsored by the International Training and Education Association (ITEA), was held online in English on the afternoon of April 3. Five student representatives from Shanghai Urban Construction Vocational College (SUCC) had in-depth exchanges with international friends from more than 20 universities, demonstrating openness, inclusiveness, self-respect and confidence of SUCC's students. Professor Mohammad Zaki Ahmad from Universiti Utara Malaysia (Northern University of Malaysia) and Professor Woon Wai Cheong from the University of Malaya co-lectured the training.
During the training, Zhou Senyi delivered a speech on behalf of SUCC's students, introducing China's traditional food culture, "Haipai" (literally means "Shanghai style") culture and the campus culture of SUCC to teachers and friends from all over the world. In the group discussion, Li Zhengyang delivered a speech as a group representative, sharing his views and feelings on the theme of the program. The five students of SUCC are fluent in English, unaffected and active, winning the praise of the sponsor and other trainees.
In order to expand the international vision of the students of SUCC and improve their cross-cultural communication ability, the International Exchange Office has taken various measures in recent years to help students "go global". Students participating in the training said that the program promoted their understanding of the cultures of various countries, helped them learn to communicate and cooperate with people with different cultural backgrounds and better understand and respect their habits and behaviors, and enhanced their international vision.
