On the morning of November 11th, the opening ceremony of the 2019 Thai Vocational Education Teachers’ Training Course in China was held at the Shanghai Ship Hotel. Ye Yinzhong, the president of SUCC, Ms. Rachaneekorn, Vocational Education Development and Research Expert of Institute of Vocational Education Bangkok, School Deans and Division Chiefs of SUCC, the nine professional teachers of the school under the Bangkok Vocational Education Center, and all staff from School of International Exchange attended the opening ceremony. It was hosted by Yu Limin, Director of the International Exchange Division.
At the meeting, Ye reviewed the exchanges and cooperation between SUCC and the Bangkok Vocational Education Center, and highly affirmed that both sides have carried out efficient cooperation projects under the background of the “Belt and Road” Initiative and achieved fruitful results, especially SUCC branch in Bangkok has been listed as a “People Connection” project by the National Development and Reform Commission. Ye hopes that both sides will deepen cooperation in the future and work together to run the campus in Bangkok. He also wishes the training course a great success.
Ms. Rachaneekorn expressed her gratitude for the hospitality and careful arrangement of SUCC. She detailed the functions of the Bangkok Vocational Education Center and was very pleased to be able to establish cooperation with SUCC. She said that the teachers who participated in the training came from Food Safety and Nutrition as well as Hotel Management, and hoped to experience the most advanced vocational education concepts and teaching models in Shanghai, China.
Xu Jinxian, Director of the General Studies Department, Li Bo, Vice Dean of School of Health & Social Care, and Yang Lina, Vice Party Secretary of the School of Public Management & Services, also gave a brief introduction on the training courses undertaken by the department respectively, and discussed the professional teaching with Thai teachers.
The training course will run from November 11th to November 21st. During the period, the specialties of Food Safety and Nutrition as well as Hotel Management will arrange special professional teaching courses and school-enterprise cooperative production and research projects respectively. Through the combination of theoretical study and practical operation, the participating teachers will experience Chinese culture while improving their skills.
