During the meeting, President Zhang Zhengrong introduced the basic profile of the SUCC, its educational achievements, and the progress of its cooperation with vocational institutions in Kazakhstan. He noted that this year, Shanghai and Almaty established a sister-city relationship, providing an opportunity for the SUCC to engage in exchanges and collaborations with several Kazakhstani institutions. In June, for instance, the SUCC officially signed a cooperation agreement with KazGASA College, which is affiliated with the International Educational Corporation (IEC), Kazakhstan. At present, both sides remain in close contact and are steadily advancing follow-up cooperation. President Zhang expressed his hope that this meeting would pragmatically promote collaboration between the SUCC and KazGASA, and, building on the existing foundation of China-Kazakhstan vocational education exchange, explore additional cooperation models aligned with the educational characteristics of both institutions to jointly enhance the quality of talent cultivation.

President Bakhtiyar Sabdenaliyev expressed his sincere appreciation for the warm reception and detailed introduction provided by the SUCC. He shared an overview of the development and strengths of the IEC and KazGASA. He explained that KazGASA, as a top-tier institution in Kazakhstan specializing in architecture and civil engineering, has been deeply engaged in architectural education for decades. The IEC, to which KazGASA belongs, is a leading educational consortium comprising multiple universities, vocational colleges, and training institutions. It plays a central role in integrating vocational education resources across Kazakhstan. President Bakhtiyar Sabdenaliyev emphasized that KazGASA attaches great importance to its partnership with the SUCC and other Chinese higher education institutions. He stated that the collaboration will focus on three core areas—faculty and student exchanges, scientific research cooperation, and joint educational programs—to foster complementary strengths and resource sharing, thereby elevating the level of student exchange and educational cooperation between both sides to a new height.

During the discussion session, Liu Yalong, Dean of the School of Digital Construction, provided an overview of the school's profile and its innovative talent cultivation programs. Shao Dongdong, Secretary of the General Party Branch of the School of Architecture & Environment Art, gave a detailed introduction to the school's majors and educational achievements, expressing the hope to carry out cooperation with the Kazakh side in areas such as faculty and student exchanges and joint program development. President Bakhtiyar Sabdenaliyev spoke highly of the SUCC's curriculum design and talent cultivation philosophy. The two institutions exchanged views on future cooperation approaches, focusing on areas such as student training models and joint educational programs.

The visit of KazGASA provided both institutions with an effective platform for communication and cooperation, further deepening mutual understanding and consensus in areas such as talent cultivation and research collaboration. Looking ahead, the SUCC will continue to contribute to the development of the Belt and Road Initiative, expanding the breadth and depth of China-Kazakhstan vocational education cooperation, and making active contributions to promoting educational exchange and friendly collaboration between the two countries.
