From June 21 to June 26, a delegation of 39 teachers and students from Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore, visited SUCC's Fengxian Campus for a six-day study tour and exchange activity. This event was led and hosted by the International Cooperation Division of SUCC and co-supported by multiple schools and departments, including the Department of General Studies, the School of Architecture & Environment Art, the School of Food & Tourism, and the School of Application of Artificial Intelligence.

    The activity was meticulously designed around four core modules, integrating youth exchange, corporate visits, cultural exploration, and intangible cultural heritage experiences, offering the study tour group a comprehensive immersion into the charm of Shanghai and the richness of traditional Chinese culture. At the opening ceremony, all participants gained a thorough understanding of the itinerary and safety instructions, officially kicking off the exchange. At the Liren Ball Games Hall of SUCC, the study tour group experienced the intangible cultural heritage of dragon dance, appreciating the profound essence of traditional Chinese folk customs through movement. The group strolled through Qingxi Old Street, sensing the rustic charm and vibrant atmosphere of the ancient Jiangnan water town amidst its grey bricks and old alleys. They ascended the Shanghai Tower, intuitively gaining insight into the construction standards of China's super-high-rise landmark buildings. Walking along Nanjing Road, they felt the commercial vitality of the metropolis. Visiting the City God Temple of Shanghai, they studied the architectural forms of Ming Dynasty ancient buildings, delved into the unique culture of the City God, and immersively touched the historical context of Shanghai. The study tour group visited benchmark enterprises such as Bright Dairy & Food and SenseTime, touring the intelligent production lines of the modern food industry on-site and experiencing cutting-edge AI innovations and the momentum of technological development up close, feeling the vibrant energy of Chinese technology and industry at the forefront. On the campus of SUCC, the group engaged in intangible cultural heritage practices of copper coin weaving and traditional rubbing, appreciating the exquisite craftsmanship of traditional handicrafts and the unique cultural charm of inscriptions on stone and metal through hands-on work. They gathered at the International Youth Workshop, sitting together with SUCC's international students for in-depth conversations, sharing their experiences, insights, and cultural reflections in Shanghai, enhancing international youth friendship through the fusion of ideas. Towards the end of the trip, at the closing ceremony, the teachers and students shared highlights of the study tour, exchanged gains and emotions, leaving genuine and warm memories for the long-standing friendly exchanges between the two institutions.

    In recent years, SUCC and Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore, have maintained close cooperation. This visit marks the fourth study tour group sent by Nanyang Polytechnic to SUCC. Relying on the strong intercollegiate ties, the two institutions have successively carried out multi-level and multi-form exchange programs, including teacher visits, student exchanges, and short-term study tours, establishing a solid foundation for cooperation with fruitful results. This study tour has further consolidated the cooperative friendship between the two sides, promoted deeper and more substantive international youth exchanges, and injected new impetus into the continued deepening of cooperation between the two institutions in areas such as vocational education, cultural mutual learning, and talent cultivation.
