The 40 years of the reform and opening up are the 40 years of China’s urban development. On November 23, the Yangtze River Delta Urban Development Form jointly supported by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, Shanghai Housing and Urban-Rural Construction Management Committee, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, Shanghai Federation of Social Science Associations and other institutions and hosted by SUCC was successfully held at SUCC Yangpu Campus. Mr. Zhou Hanmin (the Vice President of Shanghai People’s Political Consultative Conference) attended the Forum, and delivered a speech. A total of more than 200 participants, including Zhou Tiemin (an investigator of the Party Committee for construction and transportation in Shanghai), Wang Zhen (a member of the standing committee of Yangpu District, and the vice governor of the District), Professor Zheng Shiling (an academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences), leaders from construction colleges and universities in the Yangtze River Delta, leaders of school-enterprise cooperative units, relevant experts, and SUCC teachers and students, attended the Forum.
During the Forum, three parallel sub-forums were also set up. Experts and scholars attending the Forum focused on new development concepts and new technologies, and conducted in-depth discussion and exchange on topics such as the governance model and policy choices for technological innovation in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration, the innovative development of rail transit in the new-era metropolitan area, the BIM innovation capability and information-based construction management, delicacy technology management for building energy conservation, urban industries and enterprises development in the Yangtze River Delta, and personnel training.
In addition to the Forum, the expert representatives attending the Forum also visited the BIM Industry, Teaching and Research International Collaboration Center, the Shanghai Construction Technology Public Training Base and the Shanghai Intelligent Property Management Public Training Base, and experienced the ARVR and 3D printing education display platforms, and observed the fine woodworking production, virtual simulation display of buildings, intelligent property operation and maintenance.
