Recently, the 2021 Shanghai Creation Cup, sponsored by Shanghai Education Commission and co-organized by Shanghai Creative Studies Institute, was successfully held in Tongji University, and students of SUCC won a first prize and four superior prizes in the competition.

The aim of the Shanghai Creation Cup Competition is to cultivate students’ innovation, hands-on ability and teamwork spirit, to improve students’ independent innovation and creativity, and to contribute to the construction of an innovation-oriented country and the strategy of invigorating China through science and education. The participating universities in the competition included more than 20 universities such as Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Tongji University, etc. Our projects competed with those from undergraduate colleges and universities, and finally our project “Countryside Creation - Drifting in the Countryside, Weaving the Future” and the project from Shanghai Ocean University won the first prize in the Design and Creativity.

The College of Innovation and Entrepreneurship actively links all secondary colleges of SUCC, organizes competition declaration and project guidance, combines competition, project, practice with curriculum, creates an ecosphere of dual-innovation events, stimulates innovation and creativity among teachers and students, promotes the integration of professional skills training with innovation consciousness and entrepreneurial practice, further deepens the university's innovation and entrepreneurship talent training system, and builds a new pattern of innovation and entrepreneurship education.
