President Ye Yinzhong Attended the Council Meeting of the Belt and Road Education Chapter for International Exchange, China Education Association for International Exchange

In order to further promote the vigorous development of international exchanges in education field and to enhance the international influence and leadership of China's education, the Belt and Road Education Chapter for International Exchange, China Education Association for International Exchange held a council meeting on December 16, and president Ye Yinzhong, as the vice president of the Chapter, was invited to attend the meeting.


The Belt and Road Education Chapter for International Exchange was established in December 2019 under the auspices of Fudan University. Its members are represented by dozens of higher education institutions, vocational education institutions, and basic education institutions across China that have been effectual in the practice of "the Belt and Road" education. In the past year, the Chapter has, in line with China’s strategic direction, focused on promoting objectives of "the Belt and Road" education, strengthened organizational construction and platform construction, enhanced and promoted exchanges and external publicity, and continuously expanded social influence in order to serve China’s social development. As a vice-president unit and a representative of higher vocational colleges, SUCC has taken an active part in, and offered suggestions and advice on, such efforts as expanding the membership network, organizing special seminars, and designing the questionnaire of the 2020 Survey on Internationalization of China’s Higher Education, which are important for the successful work of the Chapter.

 

At the meeting, Ye Yinzhong subscribed to the work summary of the Chapter, and put forward constructive suggestions on the work plan for next year. In particular, he mentioned subject applications to be made jointly by China’s higher vocational colleges and their counterparts from countries along the routes to participate in the research on the internationalization of higher education; offering different categories of international exchange training for "the Belt and Road" education to improve international exchange abilities of the management and faculty; and organizing skills competitions for students from countries along the routes. The suggestions above were fully affirmed by both sponsors and guests. In addition, Ye Yinzhong introduced concrete measures taken by China’s higher vocational colleges to serve "The Belt and Road" construction, providing members with helpful thoughts to conduct activities for international exchange in education.
