On March 29th, Qiu Xianchao, a student of the School of International Exchange of SUCC, went to Beijing to compete with the other two contestants for the only place of representing China in the 45th World Skills Competition. SUCC attached great importance to this competition. President Ye Yinzhong and Party Secretary Chu Min expressed condolences to Qiu Xianchao and the coaching team.
Before leaving, Ye Yinzhong cordially expressed his condolences to Qiu Xianchao and the coach and the judge of the Chinese regional competition Xu Dongmei. Ye Yinzhong said that after a series of selections and experience, Qiu Xianchao had made great progress in his skills, achieved good results in SUCC skills competition, and would won the honor for SUCC. President Ye encouraged him to remove the burden, to ease the attitudes and to work well in the competition.
On March 31st, Chu Min went to the Beijing competition site to support Qiu Xianchao on behalf the leadership team of SUCC, and expressed the hope for him to be relaxed and work well in the competition. Mr. Chu wished him the best results, and wished him would strive to win glory for the country. Besides, Mr. Chu expressed his condolences and gratitude to Xu Dongmei (the coach), Ma Hua (the team leader), and Pan Shenhan (a student, and the champion of the Floriculture Contest of the 44th World Skills Competition).
This Competition was the “one out of three” final selection competition for the 45th World Skills Competition, and was held in the Beijing Division from March 29th to April 4th to select a final contestant, who would represent China in August this year as the main draw contestant and the alternate contestant in the World Skills Competition in Kazan, Russia.
The floriculture competition consisted of 10 modules, and contestants were required to complete a bouquet and plant design, and the design and manufacturing of bridal ornaments, cut-flower decoration, garland, a surprise boxes, etc. within 4 days (12330 minutes). It was a great test of the skill, psychological quality and physical fitness of the contestants.
