SUCC Signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Thailand Krirk University

In the afternoon of November 30, the online signing ceremony for the establishment of international cooperation in education between SUCC and Thailand Krirk University was successfully held in Yangpu Campus. Yang Jinquan, President of Thailand Krirk University, Li Liguang, Member of the Management Board, Chairman of the Faculty Council of International College, Luo Yong, Dean of China International Language and Culture College, Zhang Chao, Deputy Director of the International Exchange Office, and Luo Wanyi, Foreign Affairs Commissioner attended the ceremony. Ye Yinzhong, the President of SUCC, the main heads of relevant functional departments, secondary colleges, professional leaders, and relevant staff of the International Exchange Department attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Yu Limin, Director of the International Exchange Division.

Ye Yinzhong said in his speech that this year is the 10th anniversary of the establishment of comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Thailand. Recently, Chinese President Xi Jinping attended the 29th APEC Leaders' Informal Meeting held in Bangkok and visited Thailand. The establishment of educational cooperation between China and Thailand at this time node not only creates new learning and exchange opportunities for teachers and students of the two universities, but also plays a positive role in deepening educational exchanges and cooperation between China and Thailand and promoting common development. Ye Yinzhong pointed out that the SUCC has always regarded the development and opening up of vocational education to the outside world and serving the construction of the "Belt and Road" as an important task. Thailand is the first country to carry out cooperation and exchange with SUCC, which is of great significance. He hoped that the two universities could form cooperative partners, strengthen cooperation in youth talent training, education and teaching research, Chinese cultural exchanges and other aspects, jointly develop education, and continue to develop the friendship between the Chinese and Thai people.

 

In his speech, Yang Jinquan talked about the important moment of President Xi Jinping's recent visit to Thailand and highly praised the visit for its significant contribution to regional peace and stability and development. He said that in recent years, Thailand Krirk University has actively responded to the "Belt and Road" initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping, and has constantly strengthened cooperation and exchanges with Chinese universities, and the international courses have been recognized and supported by the education authorities at all levels in China and Thailand. He hoped that the two universities could take this signing as a starting point to work together on the road of education development and wished the friendship between China and Thailand would last forever.

 

During the exchange and discussion of the meeting, Wang Jichuan, Dean of the School of Economics and Trade, Huang Wenbin, Vice Dean of the School of Public Management and Service, Long Guoqi, Head of International Business Department, Shi Changsheng, Head of the Human Resources Management Department, lively discussed the professional curriculum construction, academic research, academic and non-academic education, mutual visits of teachers and students, "Chinese + vocational skills" and other related topics with the Heads of the secondary colleges of Thailand Krirk University and reached a lot of consensus.

Ye Yinzhong and Yang Jinquan jointly signed a memorandum of cooperation. In the future, the two universities will integrate their respective advantageous resources and jointly cultivate excellent professional talents based on mutual visits of teachers and students, student exchanges and mutual recognition of credits. The signing of this agreement has further deepened the educational exchanges between SUCC and countries along the "Belt and Road". SUCC will take this opportunity to carry out active exploration and in-depth cooperation, and open a new chapter of international cooperation between the two universities.
