A new journey begins as the youth embarks on their voyage. On September 13 and 14, SUCC's Fengxian and Yangpu campuses welcomed the incoming Class of 2025 for registration. The campuses buzzed with youthful energy as new students, filled with anticipation, stepped into university life—ready to set sail and begin a new chapter.

Registration ran smoothly and efficiently on site. Staff members patiently verified student documents, processed registration steps, and assisted with photo-taking and campus card distribution. Across campus, student volunteers enthusiastically helped freshmen with their luggage, offered directions, and assisted with dormitory check-in. SUCC's leaders, including Secretary of the Party Committee Chu Min, Deputy Party Secretary and President Zhang Zhengrong, Deputy Party Secretary and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission Yang Guanghui, and Vice President Guo Hongtao, visited the registration site. They gained a detailed understanding of the progress of freshman registration and the arrangements for each segment, warmly greeted the faculty and student volunteers providing on-site services, and urged everyone to spare no effort to ensure efficient and smooth service support for the orientation activities. University leaders also engaged warmly with new students and their parents, extending a sincere welcome to all.

Together with a delegation comprising heads from the Student Affairs Department, the Youth League Committee, and secondary colleges, university leaders visited the students to show concern and offer encouragement to those facing difficulties. They inquired about the students' adaptation to campus life, encouraged them to build self-reliance, resilience, and self-confidence, and urged them to integrate into the campus environment as soon as possible. They emphasized the importance of diligence, hard work, and steadfast effort, encouraging students to achieve personal growth through knowledge and strive to realize their life aspirations.

On the eve of the new semester, the Student Affairs Department organized the “Opening the Door to University” orientation program for the Class of 2025. Through online sessions of teachers, senior students, and parents, the program provided a comprehensive guide covering academic, psychological, and daily life support, and created a reliable support system to help new students adapt to campus life, integrate into the community, and gain clarity about their future goals.

It is time to embark on a new journey and open a new chapter.
