The 2017 16th China International Remote Education Meeting based on Transformation: View and Route was grandly opened in Beijing on November 2, 2017. The award ceremony of the 2016-2017 Excellent Off-campus Learning Center of National Colleges and Universities Modern Remote Education was held in the opening ceremony, and the College of Continuing Education won the prize again (the first prize was gained in 2015) as a learning center of Shanghai Urban Construction Vocational College.

It is an education grand meeting of important international influence held by the periodical office of China Remote Education one week after the successful close of the 19th CPC National Congress. Thousands of people including management personnel, practitioners and researchers from network education and continuing education fields came to Beijing and jointly discussed the development of network education.

Guest speakers of the meeting provided deep explanation to the meanings of the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics to education, network education in new era, mission, target and task of continuing education from different viewpoints, improved participants’ confidence and confirmed the heading direction. This is a grand meeting of network and continuing education that allow people to learn and implement the spirits of the 19th CPC National Congress.
