SUCC’s First Chunshen College Officially Inaugurated at the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) in the Philippines

    On September 2, the inauguration ceremony of SUCC's first Chunshen College was held at the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao (USLT) in the Philippines. The ceremony was presided over by ANJANETTE FOLLANTE BATULAN, Director of International Affairs at USLT, with the attendance of Wang Qian, Director of the English Teaching and Research Office, Department of General Studies of SUCC, REV. FR. MACWAYNE N. MANIWANG, CICM Ph.D. and USLT's President, LUISA B. AQUINO. EDU. D., Vice President of USLT, and the deans of secondary schools of USLT, which marked the official establishment of a cooperative relationship between the two institutions and laid a solid foundation for their future in-depth exchanges.

 

    At the ceremony, representatives from both institutions jointly unveiled the plaque and engaged in discussions on topics such as faculty and student exchanges, sharing of academic resources, and joint development of research projects. Wang Qian said that this trip to the Philippines, which involved delivering courses on Chinese culture and the Chinese language to students at USLT through Chunshen College, represented a significant and substantive step forward in the cooperation between the two institutions following the signing of an agreement last year. He expressed his hope that this initiative would mark a new starting point for cultural exchanges between China and the Philippines and for educational integration between the two institutions. The successful establishment of Chunshen College is a significant achievement in the international branding of SUCC. As a crucial platform for advancing SUCC's international strategy, the inauguration also lays a solid foundation for deeper collaboration with SUCC's partner institutions, while signifying a pivotal step in SUCC's international branding.

 

    Moving forward, both parties will leverage Chunshen College as a platform to advance substantive collaboration across multiple disciplines. Specific plans will be formulated in areas such as teaching seminars, student exchanges, and cultural interactions. By deepening educational synergy, the two institutions aim to jointly elevate the quality of education and propel international development to new heights.
