This year marks the fifth anniversary of the “Belt and Road Initiative”. With the success of the first two Seminars on the “Belt and Road” Infrastructure Construction for International Talents, SUCC adopted the new model of “going out” for the first time, and Zhang Xiong (the vice president of the Continuing Education College; the team leader) and 5 key teachers with rich teaching experience and industry background were invited to go to Jakarta (Indonesian capital) for technical exchange and cultural inheritance on October 21-27. During the period, they not only exchanged technical issues with industrial peers, but also carried out academic exchanges with relevant teachers of Indonesian universities.

In addition to bringing Chinese construction engineering technologies and standards to Indonesia, the visit to Indonesia also will carry forward the traditional Chinese Lu Ban culture. After the successful introduction of the “Lu Ban School” in the second Seminar, SUCC will continue to carry forward Lu Ban culture, so that foreign counterparts and friends can feel the long history and profoundness of our traditional crafts.

“Going out” is a new measure taken by SUCC to respond to the national “Belt and Road” initiative. On this basis, we will gradually extend the cooperation to the countries along the “Belt and Road” in the future. In addition to Southeast Asia, we will strive to “go” to countries such as Eastern Europe and Oceania. The training model will be also enriched to facilitate exchanges between SUCC and international counterparts and enhance the visibility of SUCC.
