On November 20th, the 2022 Shanghai College Students "Creative Cup" Competition, sponsored and supported by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, and Shanghai Creative Society, came to a successful conclusion. It was organized by Tongji University. SUCC’s students won 1 third prize and 4 winning prizes in the competition.

This competition aimed to cultivate students' innovative ability, practical ability and teamwork spirit, thus improving their independent innovation and creativity. All these efforts were made to contribute to the construction of an innovative country and the implementation of national strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education. The competition included nearly 20 universities including Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tongji University. The participating projects of SUCC competed with those of undergraduate universities. Finally, the integrated project "Formaldehyde scavenger: Carbon Material Derived from Grapefruit Peel" of SUCC of School of Health and Social Care won the third prize in the categories of civil, construction and transportation environment.

The School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship actively connected all secondary schools of SUCC, organizing competition application and project guidance. Combining competition, project, practice and courses, it devoted itself to creating an ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship, and carrying out practical and innovative education and teaching oriented by practical projects. With these works, it was conducive to stimulating students' enthusiasm to participate in innovation and entrepreneurship activities, and promoting their creativity. To promote the integration of professional skills with innovative awareness and entrepreneurship practice, it will further deepen the training system of innovative and entrepreneurial talents in SUCC, so as to build a new pattern of innovation and entrepreneurship education.
