School of Municipal & Ecological Engineering Delivers Online Training for ASEAN Countries

    Recently, the School of Municipal & Ecological Engineering has successfully hosted a two-day online thematic training program for ASEAN countries. Nearly 360 participants from ASEAN member states joined this cloud-based initiative to gain insights into the “Chinese Wisdom” and “Chinese Solutions” for modern urban municipal development.

 

     This training marks a key response by the School to the “China-ASEAN 2030 TVET Flagship Courses Sharing Initiative”. Boasting solid professional capabilities, the Municipal Engineering Technology Professional Group successfully passed the rigorous review and obtained standard certification from the China-ASEAN Technical Education Cooperation Platform (CATECP), laying a solid foundation for the smooth provision of training. Three high-quality international digital courses were carefully selected for the training, including Civil Engineering Materials, Construction of Sponge City, and Landscape Design of Garden Plants. Focusing on global urban development priorities such as green low-carbon development, sustainability, and smart cities, these courses integrated Chinese technical standards and practical expertise. By diverse ways of live online sessions, real-time interactions, and case analyses, the training enabled ASEAN participants to deepen their understanding of China's advanced municipal development concepts and technologies.

    As a pivotal practice of the School's “going global initiative for vocational education”, this training is committed to promoting the internationalization of China's vocational education standards, high-quality resources, and expertise. Moving forward, the School will continue to deepen the exchanges and cooperation on vocational education with ASEAN nations, facilitate the joint development and sharing of resources, and contribute the strengths of vocational education to building a closer China-ASEAN community with a shared future.
