From August 25 to 28, the IFBB Asian Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships 2023 dropped the curtain, with 526 athletes from 15 countries and regions participated. The championships consisted of 15 events, including Men’s Traditional Bodybuilding, Classic Bodybuilding, Fitness, Men’s Muscle Fitness, Classic Fitness, Fitness Models, Wheelchair Bodybuilding, Women’s Fitness Figure, Women’s Bikini Fitness, Women’s Wellness, Women’s Fitness Model, Women’s Fitness Skills, Women’s Artistic Fitness, and Mixed Pairs Fitness. The Chinese delegation sent 31 athletes to participate in the competition in nine events.
Cao Jing, a teacher from Shanghai Urban Construction Vocational College (SUCC) and an athlete from China’s national fitness and bodybuilding team, stood out among numerous competitors from Asian countries and won the championship in the Women’s Artistic Fitness event. As a member of the national team’s new generation, Cao Jing will participate in the World Fitness and Bodybuilding Championships to be held in Spain in November 2023. Her achievement has fully reflected the pragmatic and striving spirit and the pursuit of excellence in sportsmanship.
