On the afternoon of June 13, SUCC held an online meeting with Chitralada Technology Institute. Thai principal Nuan Anon Tanzal, vice principal Jurala Kudara, director of curriculum development Sawaidi Malone, director of food and nutrition department Willapang Kannon, director of food and nutrition department Rachanu Bin Dadong and relevant personnel from the general education department and the international exchange department attended the meeting. Guo Hongtao, vice president of SUCC, Yu Limin, director of the International Exchange Office, Li Bo, deputy dean of the School of Health and Social Care, and Sun Min, the person in charge of food quality and safety attended too. The meeting was chaired by Yu Limin.
At the beginning, teachers as well as students of SUCC were displayed through the promotional video. Guo Hongtao introduced the running situation of SUCC and the achievements of international cooperation produced to the guests in recent years, especially SUCC's cooperation with countries along the "Belt and Road Initiative" after the epidemic. She said that cooperation on "Chinese + vocational skills" by SUCC will be solidly promoted international exchanges and cooperation, so as to help young students improve their technical skills, and promote local economic and social development.
Nuan Anon Tanzal expressed great pleasure to discuss cooperation matters with SUCC. Chitralada Technology Institute was founded by King Bhumibol of Thailand in 1955 and is currently managed by Princess Sirindhorn. And it is also a high-quality vocational institute with higher social reputation. At present, there are four years of bachelor's degree education and higher vocational education. Food major is one of the most popular majors at Chitralada Technology Institute. She hopes to provide more opportunities for teachers and students of two schools to communicate and learn from each other through inter-school cooperation.
During communication, Sun Min, who was in charge of the food quality and safety major, introduced the training plan for international students in terms of the basic situation of the major, professional industry orientation, talent training goals and specifications, curriculum system, relative practice, and 1+X certificate. Willapang Kannon, head of the food and nutrition major of Chitralada Technology Institute, introduced the professional teachers, curriculum, vocational certificates, and skill competitions. She said that the training programs of the food majors of two schools are quite compatible, and hoped the students of Chitralada Technology Institute will have the opportunity to study in Shanghai.
Through this seminar, the two schools established a more comprehensive and direct mutual understanding, which created a good start for future cooperation. In the future, in-depth discussions on the joint training, mutual recognition of credits, and certification of curriculum standards will be performed by food major of two schools, which will work together to cultivate outstanding young students who can achieve self-development and contribute to society
