On December 17, 21, and 22, SUCC successfully held a construction engineering technology training for the Taxila Civil Technology College in Pakistan. With the theme of “Building Wisdom in Anti-epidemic - From the Construction of Fire God Mountain Hospital in China”, this training was jointly created by the International Exchange Office and the Digital Construction Institute, which was a three-day online technical training to the Taxila Civil Technology College in Pakistan. Engr. Muhammad Roshan Awan, the principal of Taxila Civil Technology College, led relevant professional teachers and students to participate in the whole process, and nearly 100 people participated in the technical training.

This online training took the construction of Fire God Mountain Hospital as an example, and analyzed the elements in this intelligent manufacturing in China. Fire God Mountain Hospital is a world’s anti-epidemic miracle which took only 10 days from design to delivery. This training is divided into three modules: BIM technology, prefabricated assembly and container construction, each of which includes a number of contents such as foreshadowing professional knowledge, application in the construction of Fire God Mountain Hospital and future development. Equipped with a large number of high-definition videos, the courseware is rich in content and illustrations, demonstrating the level of informationization, industrialization and digitization of the project construction, revealing the Chinese construction wisdom behind the construction of Fire God Mountain Hospital and highlighting the power of intelligent manufacturing in China. The lecture also made use of every single space to introduce the featured projects such as digital transformation of SUCC, the preparation for the World Skills Competition and the international cooperation of “The Belt and Road”, which aroused the interest of the teachers from Pakistan. During the questioning session, the exchanges between the two parties were very active, and the discussion atmosphere was good, which greatly enhanced the other side’s familiarity and recognition of SUCC, and further promoted the international exchange and cooperation of China-Pakistan vocational education.

This training is one of the series of initiatives to build the overseas promotion base (Pakistan) of “Chinese + Vocational Skills” of SUCC. With the support of the International Exchange Office and the Digital Construction Institute, and relying on the teaching innovation team of Shanghai Construction Engineering Technology, the training was led by Dr. Huang Tianrong, Director of the program, who conducted research, collected materials and carefully prepared training materials. The training achieved initial success and also laid a solid foundation for pilot export of our professional standards in construction engineering technology.
