Before the competition, a strict selection was conducted among students specialized in BIM of Construction Engineering Management (China-Canada cooperation program). Selected students attended concentrated courses to learn professional skills on BIM and improve English proficiency for a semester. In Toronto, our teachers and students fully engaged in the courses offered by George Brown College. In the intensive and featured training courses, they showed their knowledge and BIM skills, also their orderly behaviors and positive attitudes. All their designs were in English and added with Chinese cultural elements, such as yin and yang, moderation philosophy, and dragon and phoenix. They also introduced the process and meaning of the design in fluent English in the final presentation. Doctor CLINT, Academic Chair of Angelo DelZotto School of Construction Management, highly praised the performance of our students and said that their professional BIM skills and English surprised him and reached a new height.
