On May 13, the School of Digital Construction and China Gansu International Economic and Technological Cooperation Co., Ltd. jointly held the "the Belt and Road" digital construction technology application experience exchange summit themed "integration and sharing" virtually. Project leaders and technical backbones from Ghana, Angola, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Mozambique, Ethiopia, Kenya, Saudi Arabia, Belarus, Pakistan and so on attended the meeting, which was chaired by Professor Liu Yalong, dean of the School of Digital Construction.

President Yang Xiufang and Ding Tian, the China Gansu international chief engineer, delivered speeches for the opening ceremony. Yang Xiufang said that this summit was aimed to effectively promote the reform and exploration of the collaborative development of vocational education, achieve multi-win for all parties, contributing to "the Belt and Road" development strategy. Ding Tian hoped that the trainees will learn with questions and carry out targeted discussions in this training, so that enterprises can develop overseas business markets at a faster pace, improve market competitiveness so as to create greater economic and social benefits.

During the exchange, Dr. Liu Haitao from the School of Digital Construction performed the development process and contract terms of the FIDIC contract, focusing on the relevant content of the 2017 version of the EPC contract terms, offering the practical application of key fields. In doing so, the experience and lessons gained afforded such opportunities and challenges facing modern international engineering contraction.

The successful opening in the first day laid a solid foundation for the stable cooperation between the school and the enterprise. The two sides hoped that on the basis of the successful summit, they can also establish cooperation in terms of student internship training and foreign employee training. After the epidemic, both parties can carry out the cultivation of construction talents and build a whole ecological chain of talent services and enterprise services.
