After two years of construction and trial operation, the testing center of SUCC was officially qualified for CMA on January 20, 2022.

CMA (China Metrology Accreditation), based on the provisions of the “Metrology Law of the People’s Republic of China”, is an evaluation license implemented by the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the P.R.C and provincial market supervision and management departments, in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, standards, and technical specifications, to evaluate whether the basic conditions and technical capabilities of inspection and testing institutions meet the statutory requirements. This is a comprehensive certification of the testing capability and reliability of the institution, and it is the guarantee that the testing institution provides services to the society with fairness, science and authority. The acquisition of the CMA this time marks that SUCC has become the first vocational college in the country with the inspection and testing capabilities of more than three engineering fields (vibration, noise, water quality, electromagnetic radiation) at the same time and it can carry out scientific research, teaching, third-party testing, consulting, evaluation, training, achievement transformation and other technical services.

The testing center, which started its construction in December 2019, is a four-in-one platform of “R&D leading - market service - achievement transformation - talent training”, and is an internal institution of the university for industry, education and research. The testing center consists of a quality room, a laboratory and a comprehensive room, and a sampling group, an analysis group, and a reporting group are affiliated with the laboratory. At present, the testing center has participated in the formulation of 2 national standards, authorized 11 national patents, transformed 1 patent, signed more than 2 million scientific research projects, published 1 monograph, 13 SCI/EI papers, and won an award of the China Industry-University-Research Institute Collaboration Association, an award of Science and Technology Award of China Building Materials Circulation Association, and selected 1 person to the Industry Steering Committee. In the next stage, the testing center will cooperate with the industry and enterprises to innovate to ensure the continuous improvement of scientific research level and technical service capabilities, and strive to build a national first-class comprehensive platform for production, teaching, research and innovation, and through the construction of CMA laboratory, further unify the relationship between schools and employers, which can shorten the gap between professional setting and recruitment needs, effectively improve teaching ability and teaching quality, and cultivate more professional and practical skilled students for enterprises.
