SUCC ranked the third in total awards in the 2022 BRICS Skills Competition (final)

The 2022 BRICS Skills Competition (final) was held at Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center from November 1 to 6. Contestants from China and other provinces competed on the scene, while foreign contestants from such countries as Brazil, Russia, India, South Africa, Ghana and other countries competed virtually.

On November 8th, the organizing committee announced the winners list of Chinese teams. SUCC’s teams won 1 second prize and 6 third prizes in total, ranking the third in China. Among them, the item named "Artificial Intelligence Robot System Integration and Application" won the second prize. At the same time, professional teachers Ji Yong and Bie Hongling won the title of outstanding expert. More important, other items including "Artificial Intelligence Computer Vision Application", "Mobile Application Development", "Service Robot", "Mobile Robot", "Internet of Things" and "Building Information Modeling" also won the third prize respectively.

The competition was jointly hosted by the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, BRICS Business Council and Xiamen Government. Moreover, it was organized by Center for Vocational Education Development, Ministry of Education and the Skills Development Working Group of the BRICS Business Council. Referring to high-end manufacturing, digital economy, new industries, new forms of business, new technologies and other key areas, 26 competitions were set, like rail vehicle technology, additive manufacturing and industrial design. Teachers and students of vocational schools from the five BRICS countries carried out intense competition, which aimed to enhance their ability in innovation, coordination, organization, cooperation and other aspects, thus promoting the cultivation of high-quality international talents in BRICS countries as a whole.
