On the morning of November 14, the opening ceremony of the 7th University Sports Games, themed "Building Strong Bodies, Igniting Youth, Forging the Future," was held at the sports fields of Fengxian and Yangpu campuses. Secretary of the Party Committee of SUCC Chu Min, President Zhang Zhengrong, and other university leaders attended the ceremony, along with leaders from various departments and secondary colleges, as well as representatives of faculty, staff, and students. The ceremony was presided over by Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, SUCC, and Vice President He Guang at the Fengxian campus, and Wang He, Director of the Student Affairs Department, at the Yangpu campus.

    During the opening ceremony, the students who started college in 2024 performed a demonstration. The "Cheng Yao" Dragon and Lion Dance Team, a star-rated student club of the university, presented their performance "Dancing Dragons Illuminating SUCC." The agile dragons soared and danced through the air, alternating between low swoops and high flights, creating a mesmerizing display of traditional Chinese dragon artistry. The SUCC Cheerleading Team delivered a spectacular cheerleading performance. Every expression, gesture, and step was filled with passion and dedication. 

    Following the impressive opening ceremony, competitions in various events began. This Sports Games has attracted nearly 1,000 participant entries. We eagerly anticipate excellent performances from all athletes in the forthcoming events!
