Recently, the ranking result of the 2020 BRICS Skills and Innovation Competition was released by "the Belt and Road" And BRICS International Alliance for skills development, "the Belt and Road" And BRICS Training Center for Skills Development and Technology Innovation, and Organizing Committee of BRICS Skills Development and Technology Innovation Competition, which included 2 international competition rankings and 1 domestic competition ranking. With excellent competition results, our university ranked 21st among the top 50 in international competitions and 31st among the top 200 in domestic competitions.

The ranking included 36 international and 16 domestic events of "the Belt and Road" And BRICS Skills Development and Technology Innovation Competition 2020. Among them, 11 countries (students studying in China) participated in the China Division International Competition; A total of 1019 universities, enterprises, institutions and individuals from 21 provinces, 4 cities and 3 autonomous regions in China participated in relevant international and domestic competitions. Our university carefully organized students to participate in the competition, arranged high-quality teachers to guide the training, and achieved fruitful results. In the domestic finals, 3 contestants won the second prize and 3 contestants won the third prize; In the artificial intelligence computer vision application competition, 3 contestants won the first prize; In the artificial intelligence training and application competition "Shanghai Trial Selection", 2 contestants won the champion of student group and 2 contestants won the runner up of student group; In the BIM competition, 1 contestant won the bronze prize.

It is the first time that the university has been listed in the international competition over the years. The result was supported by wisdom and sweat of professional teacher teams and participating teachers and students, which fully reflected the spirit and charm of urban construction students in self-confidence, courage and struggle, and also marked skills competition innovation and development towards a new milestone of historic leap. In recent years, the university attached great importance to all kinds of vocational skills competitions and earnestly achieved "promoting training by competition, promoting education by competition, promoting learning by competition".  In order to cultivate talents with future international applied technology and cultural exchange skills, the university has strengthened international exchanges, actively built a platform, deeply carried out cooperation projects such as Sino-US and Sino-Canadian cooperative  education, Sino-British professional joint construction and international teacher training, and jointly cultivated International Applied Talents with technical skills in the future; Compared with the highest international standards, helped students to board a high-level international competition platform, exercised their skills, broadened their international vision and enhance their core competitiveness in the competition.

We saw dreams in their heart, we saw light in their eyes, we saw a path under their feet, we saw their ambitions in all directions. The award is both an affirmation and a spur. The university will continue to deepen international exchanges and cooperation, comprehensively promote talent training to a new level, guide more young students on the road of becoming talents with skills and serving country with skills, support the future of skilled talents and light up the future of manufacturing power.
